A Day at Galveston Beach

Daddy announced this to the family around 9 AM. With great joy we drove out, and were assaulted by two storms on the way there. In the first picture we are approaching Galveston, but have yet to cross the bridge connecting it to the mainland. A storm with rain is visible in the distance. However, by the time we arrived to the beach, it was no longer raining, and we frolicked in the moderately heavy surf. On the way back, almost everyone slept, while off in the distance another thundercloud gave forth lightning. I foolishly did not put on sunscreen and got the burn of the summer. Remember, cloudy weather is no answer to a lack of sunscreen.
